However, from sources as quoted by Telset from Bloomberg Tuesday (12/22/2020), according to information obtained from unnamed sources, the merger agreement between the two companies will involve a number of shares and cash.

Indosat Ooredoo’s majority shareholder, namely Ooredoo QPSC, is in further discussions about a merger plan with Tri, namely the Hong Kong financial company CK Hutchison Holding Ltd
According to sources, negotiations could still be delayed or could even fail. The news about the merger of Indosat and Tri has actually been blowing hard for a long time, this plan has also been conveyed by the president director of Indosat to President Jokowi in early January 2019.
